Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Bungoma county returning officer Grace Rono has said the senatorial campaigns will end on Tuesday at 6pm. Rono urged candidates not to breach IEBC laws.<\/p>\n

The official spoke on Monday at the Bungoma IEBC offices. She lauded the candidates for maintaining peace during campaigns asking them to continue with the same.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have done well during campaigns, let us continue with the same,\u201d Rono said. The official said all election materials have arrived.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll is set for the Bungoma senatorial by-election, as I have received all the materials for the crucial exercise,\u201d she said. Rono said the county tallying centre will be at Mabanga Agricultural Training Centre and there will be 1,373 polling stations.<\/p>\n

The polling stations per constituency will be as follows: Elgon at Kapsokwony DEB Primary School, Sirisia at Sirisia Vocational Training Institute, Kimilili at Matili Technical training Institute and Kabuchai at Kisiwa Technical Training Institute.<\/p>\n

Also, Tongaren at Bungoma North Vocational Training Institute, Webuye West at St Antony Primary School of the deaf, Webuye East at St Mathews ACK Primary School, Kanduyi at Kibabii University and in Bumula at Kamatuni parish.<\/p>\n

The official further said during the meeting all the agents and candidates were trained on the do\u2019s and don\u2019ts during polling. \u201cI\u2019m very glad all the eleven senatorial candidates showed up and we trained them together with the agents,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Rono also dismissed claims that there are ballot papers that have been marked. Julius Masinde, an independent candidate had alleged that there are ballot papers, which are already marked by one candidate sponsored by the party.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll the candidates are here with me. If there is anything that needs my address, I\u2019m here. Let’s not cause unnecessary tension and allow the IEBC to do its job,\u201d Rono said.<\/p>\n
