Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Kenya\u2019s James Dalidi closed the year in style as he won the Uhuru Squash Open tournament held at the Colosseum gym and fitness centre in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.<\/p>\n

Dalidi beat Zambia\u2019s Enos Mwale 3-1 in the final to clinch the TSh1m (Sh52,000) top prize while Mwale grabbed TSh600k (Sh31,000). In the semis, Dalidi overcame homeboy Marwa Busigara while Mwale had beaten Kenya\u2019s Leon Keys.<\/p>\n

Kenya was represented by just three players, Dalidi, Keys and Nashon Karanja, in the tournament that attracted 47 representatives from four countries.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel really good about the results and I am glad that I have finished the year on a high. This is great motivation heading to next season,\u201d Dalidi said. The three-day event drew competitors from Kenya, Zambia, Zanzibar, and hosts Tanzania.<\/p>\n
