Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>The main suspect in the attempted murder of baby Sagini ought to have been killed on the spot, former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko says. Alex Ochogo, who was been on the run for days after he allegedly gouged out the eyes of a three-year-old was arrested Monday in Kisii.<\/p>\n

He is in police custody and will be detained for five days pending investigations. \u201cI think IPOA should be disbanded or made functionless. Police officers are not given guns just to arrest or scare such people but to kill them on the spot,\u201d Sonko said in a post.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was arrested but shida police did not kill him…Huyu tutamfuata mpaka jela coz uko hakuna IPOA, he must feel the same pain.\u201d<\/p>\n

(We are going to follow him up to the cells because there is no IPOA there.)<\/p>\n

Sonko had earlier offered a personal bounty of Sh400,000 for any officer who would kill the suspect or a member and another Sh200,000 to any member of the public who provides leads on the whereabouts.<\/p>\n

\u201cI’ve really been saddened by this sad incident and hereby offer Sh400,000 to any police officer\/officers who will shoot dead the members of this notorious gang,” Sonko wrote. Meanwhile, the philanthropic politician has offered to airlift the three-year-old to China for an eye transplant.<\/p>\n
