Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>With a few days left to Christmas, Kenyans living in major towns have started traveling upcountry.<\/p>\n

A spot check by the Star in various bus and matatu stations in Nairobi, showed hundreds stranded as others queue to book for their travels.<\/p>\n

Fares in most travel companies have shot by between Sh200-Sh500 from the usual charges.<\/p>\n

The number of travelers is, however, not much as compared to the previous years.<\/p>\n

While this may be attributed to the high cost of fuel, the operators are seeking to make a quick buck from the increased number of travelers.<\/p>\n
