Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Michael Biwott and Ruth Cheboi of Karibu Sports Club settled for third places in their respective races in the 100th edition of the Hamilton Boxing Day Run in Ontario, Canada.<\/p>\n

In the 10-mile men’s category, Biwott, who was suffering from a hamstring injury and battling unfavourable weather conditions, against all odds obliterated the strong field to cross the finish line in 54:56.<\/p>\n

In the women\u2019s four-mile category, Ella Heiss of Canada took the honours in the highly contested race in 38:04. USA\u2019s Heather Kennedy placed second in 38:22 as Cheboi was forced to settle for third place in 38:57.<\/p>\n

For their third place finish, Biwott and Cheboi walked away with Sh24,678 each.<\/p>\n
