Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>President William Ruto will on Wednesday evening hold a media roundtable interview with local and international media houses. The interview that will air live across TV and radio stations comes just a few days after he marked his first 100 days in office.<\/p>\n

The development was announced by State House Spokesperson Hussein Mohamed on Tuesday. President @WilliamsRuto will hold a media roundtable interview live on Wednesday evening with local and international media.<\/p>\n

The President marked his 100 days on December 22, 2022. A survey released by Infotrak on Ruto’s performance in the 100 days said he had scored an overall grade C in fulfilment of pledges on the economy, governance, gender equality and infrastructure.<\/p>\n

Opposition leader Raila Odinga said President Ruto’s first 100 days have been a road to nowhere. He said Kenyans are worse off than they were during the campaigns when the Ruto-led United Democratic Alliance issued a list of promises.<\/p>\n

“Where Kenyans expected and deserved a massive stimulus package to bail them out of the devastating economic circumstances, they got hit with the cancellation of the subsidies that had cushioned millions from the pain,” he said.<\/p>\n

The Head of State has however, asked his opponents not to rush him. Ruto is also set to host a Cabinet retreat in Sagana from Thursday, for a five days. The retreat is said to be for the executive arm of government that includes advisers and Principal Secretaries.<\/p>\n

The meeting will be chaired by Ruto and the agenda is to adopt the administration’s economic transformation plan based on priorities such as food security and job creation.<\/p>\n
