Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Former Chief Justice David Maraga on Monday paid a courtesy call to Inspector General of police Japhet Koome. Currently, the former CJ is leading the National Taskforce on Improvement of the Terms and Conditions of Service and other Reforms for Members of the National Police Service and Prison Service.<\/p>\n

Maraga was appointed to the position by President William Ruto. He was accompanied by his deputy Carole Kariuki. The two leaders agreed on the support and mutual cooperation expected from both sides to facilitate the collection of views from NPS Officers on the ground.<\/p>\n

Other officials present at the meeting were DCI boss Mohamed Amin, Deputy Inspector of police Noor Gabow, the Principal Assistant to the IG, Abdallah Komesha and DIG KPS, Edward Mbugua.<\/p>\n
