Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Prime Cabinet secretary Musalia Mudavadi has refuted claims he declined to relocate to his offices at the Railways headquarters building. Mudavadi said he is going to relocate to the building in March as renovations on some sections of the facility are currently ongoing.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have not refused to move into the building. People must understand that there are renovations, which are being done at the moment. We hope they will be concluded by mid-March before we move in,\u201d he told the Star during an interview on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Defending the location of the building, Mudavadi said it is within the locality and proximity of other government offices contrary to reports he has been \u2018pushed\u2019 to a noisy area.<\/p>\n

He is currently operating from the Treasury building at the heart of the city along Harambee Avenue, where all other government offices are located. An executive order issued last October by the President indicated that the office of the prime Cabinet secretary will be domiciled at the Kenya Railways Headquarters.<\/p>\n

It has been more than two months since Mudavadi was appointed to the position, he is however, yet to relocate to the offices. The executive order further placed the Deputy President at Harambee Annex, while Ruto runs his affairs from State House.<\/p>\n
