Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Former Mwingi Central MP Joe Mutambu has said the ex-ruling party Jubilee is a shell. Mutambu who addressed the press at Serena Hotel on Saturday said former staunch supporters of Jubilee have since moved on.<\/p>\n

The politician dismissed Jubilee secretary general Jeremiah Kioni’s remarks that Azimio leader Raila Odinga won the August 9 general election. \u201cThey neglected us at the hour of need. Kioni ignored all other people and any claims that Raila won are crocodile tears,\u201d Mutambu said.<\/p>\n

Kioni had claimed Raila won the presidential poll and that final results were manipulated in favour of President William Ruto. The politician said the country has moved on under the leadership of president Ruto whom he said won the elections free and square.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe country has moved on and we have one president. We don’t want any disturbance that might injure our peace,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Mutambu said the leaders who have started president Ruto are angling for the millions expected from the political parties fund as they are not really genuine.<\/p>\n

\u201c Such leaders as Kioni have selfish interests. In fact Jubilee never supported Raila. They are now talking because there’s money coming out and want a share but not sincere,\u201d Mutambu said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThose who were in jubilee from Ukambani have moved out of the party and moved on. Jubilee is a shell.”<\/p>\n

The ex-lawmakers asked Kioni and other Azimio politicians attacking the ruling Kenya Kwanza administration to allow the country to heal and realise development.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is time and season for everything and this is the time we should allow our parents to look for fees for their children,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
