Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mithika Linturi has promised Igembe Boys a brand new bus after their good performance in the 2022 KCSE exams. The CS spoke when he visited the School on Thursday where he shared a meal with students and staff.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had the opportunity to share a meal with the students as I congratulated them for their good performance in the 2022 KCSE,\u201d Linturi said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m proud to note that out of 260 students who sat for the 2022 KCSE, 247 have qualified for direct university admission\u201d.<\/p>\n

The CS said that as a token of appreciation to the school, he will assist the school to acquire a new school bus. “This will replace the old one which I bought during my tenure as Igembe South MP,” he told the students.<\/p>\n

He also revealed plans by the government to promote 4K Clubs in schools. The CS said enhancing the role of the clubs in schools will play a major role in boosting food security.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy Ministry will partner with County Governments to promote 4K Clubs in our schools as a way of boosting food production and encouraging the youth to practice agriculture,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
