Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>President William Ruto has jetted back into the country after a three-day state visit to France and Senegal. Ruto who arrived Friday morning left the country on Monday night beginning his tour in France where he met and held talks with his counterpart Emmanuel Macron.<\/p>\n

The two held talks on the status of key development projects agreed upon by the two countries including regional peace and security. \u201cKenya and France relations are anchored on mutually beneficial cooperation on trade, energy, health and infrastructure among others. We have agreed to diversify, harness and enhance existing business opportunities,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The head of state then flew to Senegal where he joined more than 20 leaders from across the continent at the Dakar II Feed Africa summit themed \u2018Food, Sovereignty and Resilience\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will build partnerships, share requisite knowledge and mobilize more funding that will not only increase productivity but also add value to our agriculture,\u201d Ruto said when he chaired a food and agriculture delivery session.<\/p>\n

In the West African country, Ruto also presided over the opening of the Kenyan Embassy in Dakar, the first in Francophone Africa aimed at enhancing diplomatic ties between the two countries and serving the region.<\/p>\n

On the sidelines of the summit, he also met Morocco\u2019s Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch and announced he will also be opening an embassy in Rabat later in the year.<\/p>\n
