Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has urged the Azimio brigade to extend mercy to Lang’ata MP Phelix Odiwour alias Jalang’o after he was kicked from the Azimio Parliamentary Group meeting. Speaking on Tuesday, Kalonzo said that the party should not throw him out when all he wanted was to say sorry.<\/p>\n

“Poor Jalang’o, in fact, I was looking for him. I’m still going to look for Jalang’o because he was here. We must also exercise tolerance when somebody wants to say sorry don’t throw them out,” Kalonzo said.<\/p>\n

“I see that is a point of departure, I will not withdraw my remarks but imagine the state of mind poor Jalong’o must be in because Kibra now is his hostile ground.”<\/p>\n

He said that the leaders are supposed to enjoy their tour of duty as MPs for their constituencies. He commended Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi for being loyal to the party despite his brother Moses Wetangula being the speaker of the National Assembly.<\/p>\n

“I must congratulate our brother Tim Wanyonyi, his brother is the speaker of the National Assembly but he is elected under the ODM ticket in Nairobi and he is here, he is not afraid,” he said.<\/p>\n

“If anyone was to go to State House, surely Tim Wanyonyi should be the one leading them because the speaker is there.”<\/p>\n

On Thursday, Jalang’o was blocked from accessing the hall where Azimio held its PG meeting. He was later kicked out when Azimio leader Raila Odinga arrived.<\/p>\n

“When Baba walked in, one of his security told me to walk out and I walked out,” he said.<\/p>\n

“I came here because I am a member of ODM and Azimio. When we walked in there was a group of boys who blocked me and said that I will not come in.” Jalong’o was among some nine MPs who on Tuesday visited Ruto at State House attracting backlash from some Azimio leaders.<\/p>\n

The leaders who went to State House include Gideon Ochanda (Bondo), Elisha Odhiambo (Gem), Mark Nyamita (Uriri), Caroli Omondi (Suba South), Shakeel Shabir (Kisumu East), Paul Abuor (Rongo) and Kisumu Senator Prof Tom Ojienda. Raila has since called for their resignation from the party. “Members who defected from Azimio need to resign their position and go,” he said.<\/p>\n
