Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Azimio Chief Raila Odinga has urged his supporters to remain firm in the resolve to change the direction the nation should take. Raila said he does not need people who want to change the direction he wishes , that the nation should take.<\/p>\n

“Stand firm, I know where I want us to go, we don\u2019t want those people who want to change it,” he said. The Opposition chief said he will only walk with people who are firm in their resolve. ” I want to only walk with firm people,” he said.<\/p>\n

Raila was speaking on Saturday at Maseno University during the funeral ceremony of late Education CS George Magoha. \u201cI won\u2019t say a lot today, I\u2019ll talk to you people another time,” Raila said.<\/p>\n

Former Cabinet Secretary Raphael Tuju who was the MC at the funeral had given a directive that politics should not be brought to the service. On Tuesday, a section of Azimio MPs visited President William Ruto at State House claiming to be following up on development agendas without the blessing of Raila.<\/p>\n

The meeting ended up sparking a public debate on the loyalty of the MPs who went to see Ruto. Raila claimed that leaders who went to see Ruto are traitors.<\/p>\n

He said they should resign from the party and Azimio coalition. “Members who defected from Azimio need to resign their position and go,” he said. But he says instead the MPs visit the President with the pretense that they want development.<\/p>\n
