Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>ODM MCA Robert Alai has warned EALA MP Kanini Kega against turning his back on Jubilee Party. Alai on Sunday advised Kega to go to former President Uhuru Kenyatta to pledge his loyalty.<\/p>\n

The Kileleshwa MCA opined that Kega will face a hard time. “Brother, go to Uhuru and pledge loyalty. Otherwise, you are going to have a hard time,” Alai said.<\/p>\n

On Friday, the party moved to start exiting from the Azimio coalition. Through a statement, the party said it wants to be recognized as a Parliamentary party with all rights and benefits.<\/p>\n

“We want to be recognised as a party with all benefits accruing thereto taking into account that Jubilee Party is the third largest party in Parliament,” the party said.<\/p>\n

Jubilee party also wants to start engagements with President William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza on the possibility of creating a working cooperation with it.<\/p>\n

Jubilee party appointed Kega as the acting secretary general after suspending Jeremiah Kioni from the position. Kioni was suspended on claims of gross misconduct.<\/p>\n

Jubilee party has been in chaos after a number of its members visited President William Ruto at State House. Last week, 32 jubilee MPs made a visit to State House.<\/p>\n

However, Retired President Uhuru Kenyatta affirmed that the party is fully in Azimio la Umoja coalition. “Ata kama hatuko siasa active, bado tuko kwa ile chama tulikuwa nayo na bado tunaendelea kuunga Azimio mkono.Hakuna mambo yamebadilika,” he said.<\/p>\n

This translates to: “Even though I’m not in active politics, I’m still in the party and we are still part of and support Azimio coalition. Nothing has changed,” he said.<\/p>\n

Uhuru on Saturday further dared the Jubilee rebels who claimed that he should cease active in party politics. “I may be retired but I am not tired,” he said.<\/p>\n
