Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Bungoma tycoon Moses Nandalwe has said that President William Ruto cannot work without the opposition mounting pressure on him.<\/p>\n

He argues that the frequent street protests by Azimio leader Raila Odinga are the ones that will make him work hard.<\/p>\n

In an interview with the Star on Wednesday, Nandalwe said that the country is doing badly in terms of the economy asking President William Ruto to revive the economy instead of ending woes with the opposition chief Raila Odinga.<\/p>\n

\u201cRuto is a smart politician upstairs but without pressure from both the locals and the opposition he will not deliver,\u201d Nandalwe said.<\/p>\n

Nandalwe who have vied for the position of Sirisia Member of Parliament three times unsuccessfully blamed former President Uhuru Kenyatta for playing Raila Odinga in the last year\u2019s general polls.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know Uhuru Kenyatta wanted Raila Odinga to be the President of this republic but because he did not play smart, Ruto was able to defeat him,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Nandalwe noted that after losing elections three consecutive times he says that he will soon give his next political move.<\/p>\n

\u201cI really wanted to serve Sirisia people as MP but because they rejected me and chose Waluke, I won\u2019t give up and let me continue helping them to the level that I can,\u201d Nandalwe noted.<\/p>\n

However, Nandalwe clarified why he supports Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetang\u2019ula yet he is in the Kenya Kwanza wing.<\/p>\n

\u201cWetang\u2019ula supported me while I was still in the University that is why I always back him,\u201d he said<\/p>\n

Nandalwe called on Azimio leader Raila Odinga to continue with the anti-Ruto rallies.<\/p>\n
