Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has said they will continue going to church until they leave office.<\/p>\n

Speaking in Roysambu on Sunday, the DP said they are in office because of prayers and will not listen to naysayers who are condemning them for going to church.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to tell our distractors we will be in church 52 Sundays in a year for the next five years,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He said it was because of prayers that they ascended power adding that the plan was for him to be taken to Kamiti.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey had planned for me to go to Kamiti but because of prayers and God in heaven, today President William Ruto who was selling chicken is the President and commander in chief of the defence forces,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He said the former administration was proud and forgot about God but he, together with Ruto depended on God and the Kenyans for their victory.<\/p>\n

Gachagua once they won, they had to invite pastors to pray and cleanse State House before they could move in.<\/p>\n

\u201cSince they prayed, it is well, just development even the bar that was there we closed. Have you ever heard of a bar in State House? If you put a bar in statehouse is there work that can go on?\u201d he posed.<\/p>\n
