AfricaPress-Kenya:<\/strong> Members of different county assemblies in the Western region have come out to relay their support for the embattled Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula.<\/p>\n

In a press briefing earlier today, the leaders now want all communications on behalf of the Luhya nation done by their leader\u2019s Senator Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi.<\/p>\n

\u201cSome people have taken our previous political kindness we offered them for our weakness! We have helped them achieve their political merchandise using our innocent support in times of need at the ballot, \u201csaid David Ndakwa, Minority leader Kakamega county assembly.According to the leaders an enemy is trying to create division among the community for their selfish needs.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese very fellows are now busy coercing our very own sons and daughters to play into their dark evil plans to see us divided so that they can thrive politically,\u2019\u2019 added Ndakwa.<\/p>\n

\u201cSome of our leaders have succumbed to this political terror and intimidation by our adversaries by accepting to participate in illegal gatherings far away from \u2018\u2019home\u2019\u2019, serving interests of their masters.\u201dFurthermore, the leaders have criticized the recent meeting held at COTU\u2019s Secretary General Francis Atwoli\u2019s residence in Kajiado terming the action as unacceptable.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis time around as we forward Musalia Mudavadi to get to Statehouse, we are not using Bondo route. It is either they accompany us we get to Statehouse when Musalia is ahead or they find us in Statehouse.\u201dThe members of the county assemble now want and end in the supremacy battles that have been facing the Luhya nation terming the battles as egoistic battles for people\u2019s selfish needs.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe therefore say NO to these levels of deceit and conmanship. Never again shall we allow individuals with ill intentions to assemble in foreign locations so that they can organize us. Never again shall we rubber stamp to other people\u2019s political interests.<\/p>\n

No one else will speak for us and or negotiate for us other than honorable Wycliffe Musalia Mudavadi and Sen. Moses Masika Wetangula. They are our undisputed sons, leaders and spokespersons,\u201d reads the statement by the leaders.<\/p>\n

In addition the vocal leaders have vowed not to form a coalition with the government.\u201cWe are not cohabiting with the government because we are not part of them but we are cooperating with the government on issues that affect Kenyans like Covid-19, floods menace, revival of the economy and how our children can go back to school.<\/p>\n

\u201dLast week leaders from western Kenya yesterday met to chart a new political path for the region however, Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi and his Ford Kenya counterpart Moses Wetangula were absent.<\/p>\n

After the four hour-meeting, Wamalwa and Oparanya as well as Cotu Secretary General Francis Atwoli were picked to represent the Western on the negotiation table with the government.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
