Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Stanbic Bank in partnership with Radio Africa have inked a Sh35 million deal towards the upcoming second edition of Stanbic Yetu music festival.<\/p>\n

The event on Thursday in Nairobi was during the announcement of the second edition of the extravaganza, nearly a year after the inaugural showcase.<\/p>\n

Scheduled for June 10, this year, the musical event seeks to bring together local and international musicians and fans for an innovative virtual music experience.<\/p>\n

“This is to help sustain and connect local and global music community, pointing towards collaborations, industry growth and sustainability,” Radio Africa’s group events manager Somoina Kimojino said.<\/p>\n

On her part, Stanbic’s head of consumer and high net worth clients, Lilian Onyach, said they are delighted to have partnered with Radio Africa to leverage music in bringing to life the bank’s brand promise ‘IT CAN BE’.<\/p>\n

“By creating a soulful and magical live musical experience in Kenya, we look towards making possibilities real and dreams possible for millions of Kenyans,” Onyach said.<\/p>\n

She added that they are also committed to ensuring Kenya\u2019s talent is celebrated through promoting arts and music, contributing to the growth of the entertainment industry and consequently the economy of the country.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s edition will feature an exceptional lineup of both Kenyan and international Rhythm and Blues artists with Boyz II Men, an American vocal harmony group, as the main headline act.<\/p>\n

Boyz II Men is one of the most iconic R&B groups in the music industry\u2019s history.<\/p>\n

It has redefined popular music and continues to create timeless hits that appeal to fans across all generations.<\/p>\n

The band has penned and performed some of the most celebrated and best-known classics of the past two decades.<\/p>\n

Some of the group\u2019s mega hits include ‘End Of The Road’, ‘I\u2019ll Make Love To You’, ‘One Sweet Day’, ‘Its So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday’, ‘Motownphilly’ and ‘On Bended Knees’.<\/p>\n

Kenya will be privileged to be the first leg of their first ever Africa tour. They will also perform in Uganda and South Africa.<\/p>\n

The first edition of the festival saw multi-award winning star, Anthony Hamilton together with Otile Brown and June Gachui grace the event.<\/p>\n
