Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has appreciated Forbes Under 30 Summit organisers for accepting Kenya’s request to host the Third Edition.<\/p>\n

Through his Twitter account, the DP said Kenya will be honoured to host the award ceremony which recognises the best of the best in youth entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to extend my deepest gratitude to the organisers and the great team behind the Forbes Under 30 Africa Summit that is taking place in Gaborone, Botswana, for accepting Kenya’s request to host the Third Edition of the prestigious event later this year,\u201d Gachagua said.<\/p>\n

He guaranteed the event organisers that given the opportunity, Kenya will deliver its mandate.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would like to assure the team of Randall Lane, the Chief Content Officer of Forbes Media and Editor of Forbes Magazine, Julius Mwale, industrial entrepreneur, investor and Principal of Mwale Medical and Technology City, Shivish Soni of Sun Group among other players with whom I had fruitful engagement this morning that Kenya will deliver,\u201d Gachagua said.<\/p>\n

He added that the opportunity will enable Kenyan youth to come to the realisation that they are the solution to the socio-economic challenges facing Kenya and the world.<\/p>\n

\u201cEntrepreneurship opportunities are infinite especially in the digital age. Besides putting Kenya on the world map as a leading tourism destination, the thousands of vibrant tech-savvy youth of our country will be exposed to learn from each other on why they are the solution to the socio-economic challenges in Kenya and the globe,\u201d Gachagua said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt will also be a huge motivation. Getting to be a thought leader in industry requires no magic but hard work, determination and keeping the eye on the ball.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gachagua left the country for Botswana on Saturday where he attended the second edition of Forbes 30 Under 30 Africa Summit on behalf of President William Ruto.<\/p>\n

He said the summit’s foundation of youth entrepreneurship relates to the Kenya Kwanza’s agenda of youth empowerment.<\/p>\n
