Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Kiambu Governor Kimani Wamatangi affirmed that he held a meeting with medical superintendents and accounting officers in Kiambu Level Four and Five health facilities to improve healthcare in the county.<\/p>\n

He said his efforts are aimed at improving the health sector in the county, ultimately improving the lives of Kiambu residents.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are constructing 13 new dispensaries as part of my commitment to ensure all wards have at least one dispensary. We will also renovate and upgrade the existing facilities,\u201d Wamatangi said.<\/p>\n

Wamatangi said the county has funds available for the projects to enhance service delivery.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have also cleared pending bills that had stalled the construction of Bibirioni, Thogoto and Wangige Hospitals,” he said.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Wamatangi said the county government will purchase hospital equipment worth Sh150 million to further enhance the quality of healthcare services provided.<\/p>\n

About a week ago, Wamatangi and his deputy Rosemary Kirika presided over the promotion of 700 county health workers.<\/p>\n

The governor requested them to work towards the realisation of proper service to residents and assured them of his commitment to improving healthcare services.<\/p>\n
