Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Isiolo Senator Fatuma Dullo has vowed to stand by President William Ruto despite her expulsion from Senate leadership. Speaking in Isiolo on Sunday, Dullo said that she will not change her mind about supporting the Kenya Kwanza government.<\/p>\n

“Nataka kusema hivi, kwanzia leo mimi ni footsoldier wako rais wa kwanza,” she said<\/p>\n

(I want to say that from today, I’m your first foot soldier). The Jubilee Senator explained how she made headlines for weeks because of remarks made by Azimio La Umoja coalition members.<\/p>\n

She explained that while in Azimio, it was said that Isiolo never supported and voted for Opposition Chief Raila Odinga. “In Azimio, we were being mistreated and told we never mobilised for Raila. We were oppressed and that is when we decided to bring ourselves to you (Ruto),” Dullo added.<\/p>\n

In February, Dullo became the first casualty after she was removed from the Senate Minority Whip position and replaced by her deputy \u2013 Narok Senator Ledama Olekina (ODM). Dullo was among the Jubilee legislators who met with the President at State House Nairobi without the consent of the Azimio leadership.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe don\u2019t regret going to State House, we will walk in there even right now if we want because we are a democracy. Sometimes we have to look at the people who elected us not the matters of political parties,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
