In a statement on Tuesday, Sifuna said Azimio was unable to persuade the Kenya Kwanza team over various issues that formed the basis for discussion.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We have had to suspend the Bipartisan dialogue after we could not persuade our friends from Kenya Kwanza to concede to some common sense interim measures,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Sifuna added that there were other three unresolved issues including lowering the cost of Unga preservation of the Election Servers and suspension of IEBC reconstitution.<\/p>\n<p>He said the matter was necessary in Azimio&#8217;s view in order to safeguard the outcome of the talks. Both Kenya Kwanza and Azimio decided to hold bipartisan talks to resolve issues raised by the opposition.<\/p>\n<p>The team decided that the reconstitution of the electoral commission was a priority and put it top of its agenda. The bi-partisan team constituted a sub-committee of six members to discuss IEBC reforms.<\/p>\n<p>The new demand to have Jubilee left alone comes in the wake of wrangles pitting the former ruling party. On Tuesday, it emerged that the Registrar of Political Parties had ratified the expulsion of Jubilee SG Jeremiah Kioni, Vice Chair David Murathe and Treasurer Kagwe Gichohi.<\/p>\n<p>The group was however handed a reprieve by the political parties tribunal that stayed the verdict of the NEC meeting pending a determination of a case filed by Kioni.<\/p>\n<p>The push and pull in Jubilee is being led by two factions; one led by affiliated with former president Uhuru Kenyatta that is being led by Kioni and the other led by Kega that is backing President William Ruto regime.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/kenya\">Kenya<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Kenya.
