Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Azimio leader Raila Odinga now claims some 2,000 hackers have been hired to interfere with IEBC servers.<\/p>\n

Speaking on Friday in Yatta during a thanksgiving service at Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s home, Raila said the hackers are manipulating data inside the servers for purposes of giving false poll results.<\/p>\n

“Tulisikia sijui waliweka vijana elfu mbili ambao wanajaribu kubadilisha maneno ndani ya hiyo server. Tunawaangalia, tunawaona, tunawaambia weeeh mtaona mkicheza (We heard that they hired some 2,000 youth to change things inside the server. We are watching them, we are seeing them and we are telling them weeeh, you’ll have it rough if you play),” Raila said.<\/p>\n

The Azimio boss launched a verbal attack at Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale who on Thursday dismissed the Azimio calls for the opening of the servers.<\/p>\n

He faulted the lawmaker for misrepresentation of facts saying what was opened on the Supreme Court’s orders were ballot papers, not servers.<\/p>\n

“Hizo masanduku si server, bwana Khalwale rudi shule (Those boxes are not servers, Mr Khalwale go back to school),” he said.<\/p>\n

During a debate on Citizen TV Thursday, Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna said the only way to ascertain who won the presidential race was by opening the server.<\/p>\n

Khalwale, however, dismissed the calls saying the servers were opened during the petition hearing process at the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n
