Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>Digital lender Tala has appointed Agnes Muthoni as the new head of growth and strategy.<\/p>\n

She is taking over from Annstella Mumbi who has been appointed interim General Manger for Tala, Kenya.<\/p>\n

Having been licensed to operate as a digital credit provider by CBK IN Q1, Muthoni is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping Tala\u2019s strategic direction and driving its expansion into new markets and sectors.<\/p>\n

She is also expected to closely collaborate with a team of researchers, engineers, as well as other business professionals to identify growth opportunities, forge strategic partnerships and develop innovative solutions.<\/p>\n

She will also be responsible for driving Tala\u2019s strategic initiatives, fostering growth and advancing the organisation\u2019s projections of growing three-fold over the current financial year.<\/p>\n

Mumbi said Muthoni\u2019s appointment marks an important milestone for the digital lender.<\/p>\n

Muthoni boasts of over 15 years of experience in strategy, partnerships, product and customer experience.<\/p>\n

She has previously worked with Standard Chartered Bank and African startups namely Cellulant and Andela where she helped the organisation grow from Series B to Series E fundraising $ 381 million (Sh52.9 trillion).<\/p>\n
