The Dennis Maara-led team beat the host to reclaim the title that they last won in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>At the 2022 finals, Nyali Club\u2019s Adel Balala beat Uganda\u2019s Godfrey Nsubuga 4-3 while Kenya Railway\u2019s John Lejirma beat another Ugandan, Joseph Cwinyaai 5-4.<\/p>\n<p>Maara and Michael Karanga beat Uganda&#8217;s Denis Asaba and Ibra Bagalana (Uganda) 4-3 in a foursome. Only one change has been effected in Team Kenya from last year with Kiambu youngster Elvis Muigua replacing Balala.<\/p>\n<p>Muigua came into the limelight after winning Trans Nzoia Open, one of the Kenya Amateur Golf Championships series at the par 73 Kitale Golf Club. Karanga goes to this championships as the top Kenyan player after winning five meetings across the country, which is part of the qualifiers.<\/p>\n<p>The Kiambu golfer won the Coronation Cup over the weekend at the par 73 in Nakuru, his fifth victory in the series. He started his campaign by winning the opening leg, Sigona Bowl before clinching Windsor Classic, Muthaiga Open and Railway Invitation titles.
