Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>President William Ruto has stamped authority against violence in Kenya.<\/p>\n

Speaking at Konza city, Machakos County, Ruto insisted that he would not let violence be used as a tool to divide and destroy the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will not compete in violence in Kenya. That one I said won\u2019t happen. Mambo ya vita na kupiganisha watu Kenya nimesema hapana. Haiwezi endelea hapa Kenya nikiwa rais. Hiyo tukubaliane,” he said on Thursday.<\/p>\n

The Head of State vowed that he would do whatever it takes to protect Kenyans and their properties.<\/p>\n

Ruto explained that violence undermines Kenya\u2019s democracy, development and prosperity.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhatever it takes, I shall do it. My government shall mobilise resources to secure the lives of Kenyans, their properties, and businesses to make sure Kenya is firmly in the foundation of a peaceful nation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Speaking proudly of Kenya, the President acknowledged that he is the leader of a great country and we as Kenyans should not let ourselves down.<\/p>\n

He urged the county governments to support his government and work together.<\/p>\n
