Africa-Press – Kenya. <\/strong><\/span>ODM Leader Raila Odinga has alleged that President William Ruto will not be able to stabilise the economy even if he rules for 100 years. Speaking in Nyamira county, the opposition chief said that during retired President Uhuru Kenyatta’s regime, there was money circulation and prices of commodities were lower.<\/p>\n

\u201cUchumi huu ata Ruto akae miaka 100 haiwezi rekebika kwa sababu ya ufisadi. Wao ndio wameleta mahindi, ngano, michele, sukari na mafuta ya kupikia yote yanapitia hapa Mombasa na inauzwa kwa bei ya juu na hiyo inaenda kwa mfuko za marafiki wa Bwana Ruto na yeye mwenyewe,\u201d Odinga said.<\/p>\n

The Opposition chief also touched on appointments of the public servants to the offices, claiming that one ethnic group dominated the employment sector.<\/p>\n

\u201c Kuna ubaguzi kubwa na ukabila, hatuwezi kubali watu wabaguliwe na waKenya wanatoa ushuru,” he added.<\/p>\n

His comments come a day after issuing a 30-day ultimatum over dialogue between Azimo La Umoja and Kenya Kwanza. Raila said if the talks fail to bare fruit, his team will take on another course of action.<\/p>\n

“Azimio La Umoja is ready to have talks with the Kenya Kwanza government. We are giving the Ruto-led administration 30 days ultimatum. After that, if our demands are not met, I will issue new instructions,” he said.<\/p>\n
