Africa-Press – Lesotho. While most people lately get into business solely for survival, it’s a different story for Nare Ramatekoa who’s always had a passion for business. Ramatekoa

owns BNR Cleaning Services Company. It supplies cleaning materials and equipment to individuals and companies, operating from Ha Motjoka Teyateyaneng in Berea.

“From as long as I can remember I have always wanted to start a business,” said

Ramatekoa in an interview with Informative Newspaper. He started his entrepreneurial journey from small beginnings selling items like airtime. He then switched to selling

clothes as a street vendor, a move which he said assisted him to monitor challenges in the business sector and adapt to how they can be resolved. “The

challenges helped me come up with this great idea of starting a cleaning service company in 2018. I was actually inspired by the kind of unhygienic institutions that offer services to a wide range of people like industrial

areas, hospitals and schools,” he added. He carried out market research and visited the said institutions to complete the exercise. “After the completion of my market research I went on and bought

products and we have been going since,” he said. The company currently employs two temporary employees as marketing agents who earn their monthly salaries through

sales commission. He has also partnered with the Finite Magazine Lifestyle Club with the aim to increase sales. “This partnership will see my business advertised in both

Finite Magazine and its sister publication Informative Newspaper and that will help me bring in new clientele as these publications are well established and

have broad marketing strategies that I can capitalize on. These will inevitably add onto my only focus, being face to face marketing and social media strategies,” he observed.

Looking ahead into the future Ramatekoa said the mission is to be one of the leading cleaning services company in Lesotho. BNR Marketing Officer Sello Makhalemele says the company prides its self in good

customer care coupled with urgent delivery of goods. However he said the prevailing situation of coronavirus has slightly affected their business as they now encounter problems with delivery of goods when they have ordered where

they buy their stock. BNR client Makhala Malefetsane says the company has consistently been supplying her organization with exclusive cleaning materials since last year.

“What I like about them is that they are punctual and they always convey the expected orders,” she added.
