Teboho Moloi is back in the country following yet another suspension of football in Lesotho, due to the rise in COVID-19 infections.

Moloi is in his first season with Lesotho Premier League outfit Linare FC, who are currently in sixth place on the standings after 15 matches played in the 16-team league.

An announcement was made by the Lesotho Government and the country’s football association that all competitions should be suspended until further notice.

“I am already home,” Moloi tells the Siya crew.

“It’s for two weeks and hopefully we can resume again. I’ve got my fingers crossed.”

In a statement, the Lesotho Football Association said:

“The National Executive Committee of the Lesotho Football Association, pursuant to its support to the Government’s efforts to fight the spread of the Coronavirus and save lives has in its virtual meeting short after the announcement by the Right Honourable, the Prime Minister, resolved to indefinitely suspend all competitions under the auspices of the Lesotho Football Association until further information is released by the association upon advice of the Government. Your clubs should suspend all group training until further notice.”
