Africa-Press – Lesotho. The ripple effects of the civil unrest in South Africa have spilled onto our shores as Maseru motorists today moved from petrol station to petrol station looking for fuel which is now in short supply. The lootings and instability in South Africa have disrupted supply routes in and out of Kwazulu-Natal.

The South African Petroleum Refineries (SAPREF) issued a press statement today stating that it is unable to sustain refinery operations due to critical shortage of supply of materials without any clarity as to how long the unrest will last.

The Interim Cluster General Manager Rona Lynch (South Africa, Lesotho, Eswatini) of Puma Energy South Africa has also issued a press statement that all their suppliers as well as their Richards Bay terminal have stopped supplying and transporters have grounded their vehicles due these riots happening in South Africa.
