Africa-PressLesotho. The Lesotho Association of Teachers (LAT) in partnership with Canada’s Ontario Federation of Teachers (OTF) handed over two cheques amounting to M4000 each to Leqele and Lithabaneng High

School students who are performing well in Volleyball and Chess. The handover took place at Leqele High School premises yesterday. Speaking at the event LAT

Secretary General Letsatsi Ntsibolane indicated that the funds were sought by LAT from OTF for payment of examination and school fees for the two students,

namely Bokang Motsamai from Leqele High and Molefi Motšoanakaba from Lithabaneng High school. The duo were chosen based on their best performance, dedication to sports and their aspiration to become teachers.

Ntsibolane further made it clear that this was the start of the many initiatives they will embark on in the future. The Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) Principal Secretary (PS) Dr Lira Khama uttered words of gratitude

to LAT for their partnership with OTF, which has proved to be fruitful. He also said it has been about 20 years since the MoET launched free primary education

be assisted. Dr Khama congratulated the two students and said their good deeds in sports have indeed paid off. Lithabaneng High School Principal Sephunyane Leboea thanked this partnership which has offered a

helping hand to the two schools. He further urged other students to work hard and be dedicated to their studies and talents. On behalf of beneficiaries,
