Africa-Press – Lesotho. RGS Construction Lesotho has alerted the nation about the ongoing fraudulent activities by their previous employees wherein they promise to build houses for people purporting themselves as RGS.
Speaking at the press conference, RGS Construction Lesotho Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Gustav Serfantein indicated that RGS Construction Lesotho would like to inform the public of the
misinforming campaign being led by some of their former employees. He said this is to derail the project and they would like to warn the public not to fall for
any illegal and fraudulent claims made by those characters. Serfantein extended that RGS Construction Lesotho is currently on the verge of providing thousands of
families in Lesotho with the opportunity to buy safe affordable housing, saying the project is a huge undertaking. “But as with any project of this magnitude,
there will be those in society who wish to profit at the expense of others. RGS Construction Lesotho has detected some unusual and illegal activity with
regards to the communication of our affordable housing method, we would like to warn the public to be vigilant of fraudulent activities that we believe are
being conducted by our former employees. According to sources, we believe the characters in question may be operating under various names and approaching
clients with false claims that they can use the same building method we employ to build houses. If contacted by any business entity or persons claiming to
build using our method, please call us,” Serfantein cautioned. He noted that they have taken legal actions against those activities even though they tried at first to communicate
or warn those con-artists but since it has gone out of hands they had to involve law to work on their account. He further highlighted that one of their major goals as an organization is to provide job opportunities for
Basotho. “RSG Construction Lesotho is fully rooted in Lesotho, 90% of our staff are Basotho, from our partner affiliates to our builders and carpenters, by
undermining our business, they are undermining the families and livelihoods of not only our clients but also their fellow brothers and sisters who have worked tirelessly to bring this project where it is today,” Serfantein said.
