Africa-Press – Lesotho. Members of Parliament (MPs) have on Tuesday resolved to change the hour of commencement of sitting of the House from 2:30 p.m to 9:00 in respect of the 2025/2026 budget speech.

This, after the Leader of the House Justice Nthomeng Majara proposed the change of sitting hours of the House in respect of the budget speech to be delivered on Wednesda by the Minister of Finance and Development Planning Dr. Rets’elisitsoe Matlanyane.

She said the mandate of the House is to make laws, monitor public finances and allocate them to government ministries.

She also said this will allow Parliamentary Portfolio Committees to convene, debate and allocate finances to government ministries.
