In his address, Senate Vice President, Mr. Tsukutlane Au said the role of Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod is huge in the House, stating the deceased served for two consecutive terms from 2014 to 2020 in the House, a signal that he was a disciplined servant.

He indicated the Rod means the presence of the King in the House, adding such was a huge task he would not have undertaken unless he was courageous.
