HA SEBOCHE COMMEMORATES MENSTRUAL HYGIENE DAY

Africa-Press – Lesotho. The Ha Seboche community, in collaboration with the Department of Environmental Health, Action Against Cancer Lesotho, and Seboche Hospital, today commemorated Menstrual Hygiene Day alongside Village Health Workers and local youth.

Speaking at the event, Environmental Health Officer Mrs. Moliehi Senekane highlighted this year’s theme, “Together for a #PeriodFriendlyWorld,” noting that Menstrual Hygiene Day is observed annually and Botha-Bothe is proud to be part of the global movement.

“This theme speaks to the need for inclusive family and community environments where women and girls feel safe and supported to speak openly about menstruation. We want to eliminate the stigma and ensure that menstruation is not a source of shame, but a topic that can be discussed freely,” said Mrs. Senekane.
