Africa-Press – Lesotho. Street vendors are awaiting feedback on the new location for their businesses after being told to move their shacks from the road reserve.
Discussions regarding this matter were held last year, with a plan to vacate January 2025.
Speaking with Mr. Matlotlo Moepanyane, the street vendors’ chairperson, he mentioned that in their last meeting with the District Administrator’s office( DA), they were told that they would be informed when to vacate the road reserve site, as the DA is involved in this matter.
According to Mr. Moepanyane, they have written several letters to the urban council seeking a site to relocate to and even made suggestions; however, they have not received any response.
