Africa-Press – Lesotho. The President of the Republic of Botswana Advocate Duma Gideon Boko will grace Lesotho with his presence in an official working visit from Tuesday to Friday.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Relations, President Boko will be accompanied by the Minister of International Relations Dr. Phenyo Butale, the Minister of Water and Human Settlement Mr. Omneetse Ramogapi, the Minister of Lands and Agriculture Dr. Edwin Dikoloti and other senior government officials.
During the visit the President Boko will have an audience with his Majesty King Letsie III and will also pay a courtesy call on the Prime Minister Mr. Ntsokoane Matekane.
He will also visit the proposed site of the Lesotho-Botswana Water Transfer Project in Mafeteng and also attend His Majesty’s 62nd birthday anniversary in Teyateyaneng on Wednesday.
It is during this visit that the two countries will sign a Bi-National Commission (BNC) Agreement which will elevate the current Joint Commission on Technical and Economic Cooperation which was signed between the two sisterly countries in May, 2003.
This visit marks a significant milestone in the deepening of diplomatic relations and strategic cooperation between the Kingdom of Lesotho and the Republic of Botswana.
