Africa-Press – Lesotho. The Ministry of Health is playing an important role in ensuring healthy lives of all starting with children and need committed staff as should it blinks a huge mistake could happen whereby the victim could die or become disabled.
The remarks were made by the Senior District Information Officer Mr. Rorisang Manka on behalf the District Administrator during a two day Measles Rubella Step Down Training held at Golden Promotions Hotel which started on Tuesday where he said members of the community should be informed on time so that they will share their roles and time in engage activity to be carried within their area.
He said it tis the responsibility of the Risk Communication and Community Engagement Team to notify the community about the importance of immunising their children against diseases such as measles and rubella and give them hope everytime they provide them with any health service and try by all means to tell the truth concerning all issues involving immunization.
The Senior District Information Officer further urged the team members to work tirelessly to ensure successful measles, rubella campaign to be conducted increasing immunization coverage while at the same time promoting healthy life among growing children.
