INFORMATION MINISTER PRESENTS CABINET DECISIONS

Africa-Press – Lesotho. Cabinet has reached a decision to engage on a long term initiative through the Ministry of Home Affairs titled ‘Smart City Project.’

This was announced live on National Television by the Minister of Information, Communications, Science, Technology and Innovation (MICSTI) during Cabinet feedback session with the presser on Wednesday.

Ms. Nthati Moorosi added that this will go a long way in maintaining cleanliness as well as security measures through installation of cameras in the districts, starting with Maseru City.

Also, the Minister stated that the government through relevant Ministries would go and draft Conventional Arms Trade Bill while the Ministry of Agriculture would develop a policy meant to ensure production of chickens in large numbers locally for quality supply.

In another story, Ms. Moorosi highlighted that the Cyber Security Bill will now be separated into two forms, where the other part will look into Cyber Security Bill and Cyber Crime Bill respectively.

Also, the Minister talked about SADC Protocol on Employment and Labour, which she said the Minister of Foreign Affairs has been granted permission to go sign on behalf of Lesotho.
