Africa-Press – Lesotho. Russia extended on Tuesday a temporary ban on gasoline exports and introduced limits on other fuels until Dec. 31.
The government in a statement said the decision is meant to “maintain a stable situation in the domestic fuel market.”
A separate resolution restricts exports of diesel, marine fuel and other gasoils, including volumes bought on exchanges, with the measures taking effect the day after official publication and remaining in force through the end of 2025.
The government said the new restrictions do not apply to deliveries carried out by direct producers of the listed fuels.
Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said authorities planned to keep fuel export curbs in place through year-end.
Russia has intermittently limited fuel exports in recent years to cool prices and ensure domestic supply during periods of refinery maintenance and high seasonal demand. The country is among the world’s largest diesel suppliers, making its export rules closely watched by global markets.
