Africa-Press – Lesotho. The Mazenod based Vodacom Lesotho Premier League (VPL) football team, Swallows Football Club (FC), signed a sponsorship agreement with Maluti Wool and Mohair Center and Secret Lounge for
an unspecified period of time on Friday. The team also unveiled its new football kit. In their media briefing statement, Swallows FC stated that Maluti
Wool and Mohair Center will sponsor its activities for 2020/2021 VPL while Secret Lounge will run some of their daily activities. The club’s Management expressed
delight over the partnership, and thanked their esteemed partners for their gesture, they pledged that they will do their utmost best to play their part as
partners. Also addressing the media at the partnership launch ceremony, Swallows FC Manager Mosa Seoli introduced the management team and indicated that things would not be possible without them.
He said they have reached an agreement with the duo to assist the team and they are honored and privileged to partner with these giants. “From now onwards we will be working together
as a team, we are going to make a good, healthy and long lasting partnership that will not end but grow bigger. Our responsibility as a club is to make sure
that we give them what they want for the benefit of their businesses. Our plan as a team is to offer them mileage for their businesses,” Seoli said. Maluti Wool and Mohair Center
Managing Director (MD) David Telford stated that the center will sponsor the team with money for transport and other related matters and has already provided a new “Kappa” football kit for away matches.
He said they will also assist the team on a number of challenges it is facing, like losing the club’s affiliates to other teams in search for other opportunities.
“Our plan is not to work with the team for the period of one year; we also want to develop the women football within the team.
The reason I am saying this is because women football is becoming more and more important all over the world and when you have good women in your club, you have a good foundation to build on.
Therefore, in the next 3 to 5 years we need to safely make a decent football club that we will be proud of,” Teleford noted. Secret Lounge Director Teboho
Motsamai said the intention of Secret Lounge is to bring back to the community of Mazenod. “Secret Lounge has ultimately got the opportunity to sponsor Swallows
FC and we are very grateful that our plan will be fulfilled. In that way the Lounge shows its appreciation to the community of Mazenod at large for the support they have shown,” he stated.
