Africa-Press – Lesotho. Professor Song Li of the Institute of China’s Economic Reform and Development, Remnin University says in the past the focus was on Modernisation of machinery and people’s mindset, but what Modernisation really means is a harmonious co-existence of humans and nature.

This was during a Chinese Modernisation seminare in China on Sunday. He said Modernisation may be interpreted as industrialisation or urbanisation but while China is still learning from other countries what it really means, it is not copying what these other countries are doing.

He reiterated on Modernisation for peace development not colonisation of developing countries. “Our concept of Modernisation is not invasion or colonisation, but it is willingness to share our development dividends with other countries. We send medical staff and construction groups in different countries to support not colonisation, as the goal is to achieve Modernisation by 2035.”
