Africa-Press – Lesotho. Last Saturday, Sechaba Milling Company hosted its 1st Creativity Completion at Victory Hall bringing together talented individuals from the 10 districts of the country to showcase their creativity and innovation.
This is the competition where Basotho showcased their creativity talents by making different crafts using Sechaba Maize Meal bags.
Each and every one there made whatever product they wanted to do. Some made bags, school bags, dresses, shoes, and many other products.
Preparing for the competition each everyone registered, submitted their crafts online till to the point where they came physically to showcase them at the competition.
There were prizes for the winner: the first one getting M10 000, The second one M5 000, the third M2 000, the fourth one M1 000 while the ones who made the top twenty got M 500.
From there Sechaba Milling Company blessed everyone who was present there with their different products: 12.5 Sechaba maize meal, while others got rice, beans, peas and salt.
The event was led by company staff in the presence of the two Ministers. The Minister of Agriculture, Food Security and Nutrition, Hon Thabo Mofosi and the Minister of Trade, Industry and Business Development, Hon. Mokhethi Shelile who showed their heartfelt gratitude to the company and pleaded Basotho to keep supporting the company further.
The competition was part of showing gratitude to Basotho creativity and the honour of their support to the company.
The founder of Sechaba Milling Company Hanif Moosa marked the competition as the significant appreciation initiative to Basotho commitment to their products.
He added that they have been watching how they like their products and did all in their power to show their creativity using their maize meal bags.
He showed his deepest gratitude for the support to Sechaba Milling Company.
“I am truly grateful with what I see today,” he emphasized.
The event went on featuring the most valuable entertainment icons, Sotho Kids with their cultural dances performance, Lapeng Entertainment artists, other upcoming artists and the noble comedians: Lilapahalapaha, Sir Matee and ‘Makhubelu.
