Africa-Press – Lesotho. The Prime Minister, (PM) Mr. Ntsokoane Matekane officially handed over four classrooms to a tune of M4.4 million at Matlali Primary School over the weekend.

When presenting the gift also comprising new toilets for both teachers and learners, the PM said this is part of his outreach programme meant to strengthen development in different ways Countrywide, especially when such a need arises.

He explained that this comes after he toured this place previously, realising that despite the fact that the setting of the school is hard to reach (inaccessible due to roads), this was worsened by the ailing school building hence construction.

He reaffirmed the government’s commitment in making sure that the nation access services equally despite their socio economic status, promising learners that he is yet to come back with more developments including those relating to access for health services as well as roads.

“It is also my fervent hope that in the upcoming back to school festivities, he will also consider giving school shoes to the less privileged, I have noted such a need.” He appealed to learners, the society and all to ensure protection of the newly constructed building and the entire school property for sustainability purposes.

Similarly, Professor Ntoi Rapapa, the Minister in the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) congratulated the school in its entirety for receiving this important investment on the education life of learners.
