Africa-Press – Lesotho. The Minister of Labour and Employment Ts’eliso Mokhosi has urged about 74 graduates from Ntlafatso Skills Training Centre (NSTC) to be more creative and innovative after being equipped with basic skills in various courses.

Mokhosi stated this at a graduation ceremony held at NSTC premises, by noting that the most important trick in business is knowing customers’ needs, noting that capacitating the private sector is the only solution for economic growth in Lesotho, of nationals who have put trust in those who have opened businesses.

”With initiatives like Sebabatso and Bacha Entrepreneurship Project; a partnership between Standard Bank Lesotho and Basotho Enterprises Development Corporation (BEDCO) aimed at combating the high rate of youth unemployment, you can always seek financial assistance to start your own business,” he added.

Mr. Mokhosi applauded NSTC’s management for having effectively run the centre with the little resources at their disposal, adding that the centre is way behind in terms of the machinery that is still be used in the workshops, and acknowledged that the government has to try to upgrade the centre, “We cannot be still operating with equipment that was handed as a gift over decades ago,” he noted.
