Africa-Press – Lesotho. The Lesotho Football Association (LeFA), the President and Executive Committee of LeFA have co-opted DIFA Berea President Mr Lekhooa Thabaneng to serve in the National Executive Committee (NEC) with immediate effect.
Mr. Mikia Kalati, LeFA Communications and Media Manager says the co-option has been made in terms of article 24 (e) of the LeFA Statutes of 2018.
Lioli FC has confirmed the appointment, saying they are pleased that the team’s General Manager under his position of DIFA Berea President has been co-opted to serve in LeFA NEC.
“We wish him all the best in his new responsibility to take our football to the next level.”
Meanwhile, Kalati has disclosed that the Association upcoming female referee Mathapelo Morake has been assigned to officiate the Third/Fourth Place Play-off at the CAF U17 Girls Intergrated Football Tournament in Zimbabwe.
He noted that the 27-year-old is another graduate of the LeFA Referees young talent programmes that has also produced the likes of Liponts’a Lekuba, who recently officiated the final of the CAF African Schools Championship in Stellenbosch.
Morake and renowned local physiotherapist Limpho Mokhoali, are the two local officials who have been on duty at the Gift Cup, which concludes today in Zimbabwe.
