Africa-Press – Lesotho. The Department of Youth under the Ministry of Gender, Youth, and Social Development will hold a three to seven days workshop for youth at Motsitseng in the district towards the end of January.
The Department’s Senior Entrepreneurship Officer Mr. Thabo Rajane said in an interview that the training is aimed at equipping the youth with business skills that will enable them to start and run profitable businesses for socio economic development.
He said topics to be covered will include generation of business ideas, how to draw business plans, the importance of separating business from family and friends and others.
Mr. Rajane explained that Motsitseng youth requested for the training to help them to embark on successful businesses as they are about to start new businesses.
Meanwhile, another training planned for youth already in business will be held at Mapholaneng to enhance their skills.
He said issues such as buying and selling, customer care, marketing and how to attract new customers while securing existing ones will also be part of the topics to be covered at the training.
