King Letsie III of Lesotho praised King Mswati III of Eswatini during a dual celebration marking the latter’s 58th birthday and 40th coronation anniversary. The event highlighted Mswati’s contributions to peace, stability, and cultural heritage in Eswatini, emphasizing the importance of his leadership during challenging times.
Africa-Press – Lesotho. Eswatini celebrates a historic moment of national pride and reflection through a duo Royal Ruby jubilation of King’s 58th Birthday and 40th Anniversary in coronation at Somhlolo stadium on Friday.
This was highlighted by his Majesty King Letsie III on behalf of all foreign heads of states.
He said the celebration is a tribute to a reign that has provided peace, stability and progress, while preserving the values, traditions and identity that define the nation.
“This duo celebration is not just personal triumph but a pure shining testament to a joy, selfless leadership, resilience and devotion to your people,” emphasised King Letsie III.
He also said King Mswati’s leadership saw championing in trying times of complex, political, social and economic challenges, adding that his steady guidance has indeed been indispensable.
He commended His Majesty’s four decades of leadership as a rare and extra ordinary achievement.
King Letsie III further said it is through King Mswati’s dedication, steadfastness and noble commitment to preserving Eswatini’s cultural heritage which is entrusted to his custody by his forebearers to shape kingdom’s future for generations.
In his address His Majesty King Mswati III recalled moments of the day of his coronation 40 years ago and expressed appreciation to Emaswati for the their support since he was just an 18-year-old boy and to date as 58-year-old man.
He recalled how he found Eswatini back then and how it has transformed into a beautiful and prosperous land it is today.
He said it has not been an easy journey but with the support of the Queen Mother’s Ndlovukati Ntfombi Tfwala and Emaswati’s support he stands humbled by the God’s grace to have achieved evrything.
He concluded by highlighting the achievement of 40 years of his reign from improved health sector, improved GDP, Infrastructure, Education, social development to mention but a few
