Africa-Press – Lesotho. Likulo Football Club (FC) has secured promotion to the A-Division following a strong performance in the national play-offs held on Saturday, marking a significant milestone for football development in the Berea district.
Speaking in an interview with the Agency, DIFA Berea president Mr. Lekhooa Thabaneng confirmed that Likulo FC’s success reflects the growing competitiveness of clubs within the district and their readiness to challenge at a higher level.
He said the team is expected to begin its A-Division play-off campaign in June.
Mr. Thabaneng explained that the A-Division play-off structure consists of 10 teams competing for promotion, with only the top two securing advancements to the Premier League.
He further noted that the bottom two teams will be relegated to the B-Division national play-offs.
Likulo FC’s promotion is a positive development for Berea football, with stakeholders expressing optimism that the team will maintain its momentum as it prepares for the upcoming challenges.
