New ministers inaugurated

Africa-Press – Lesotho. Last Friday saw the swearing-in of new cabinet ministers at the royal palace in the presence of His Majesty King Letsie III and the Prime Minister (PM) Dr.

Moeketsi Majoro. The ministers are Hon. Moshe Leoma who has been appointed as the Minister of Labour and Employment, Hon. Lekhetho Mosito as the Minister of Defence and National Security and the Deputy Minister of Local Government Hon.

Selemo Mangobe. Upon their induction, Informative Newspaper had one-on-one interviews with the new ministers to inquire their statement of intend in the new roles. Hon.

Mosito thereby noted that the Ministry of Defence and National Security is the biggest ministry since it entails many departments including airplanes, hospitals and engineering.

He furthered that he intends to fight to see to it that the ministry gets required equipment to execute its duties. For his part, Hon. Leoma said he intends to take his ministry to the next level.

He said the next move is to approach workers’ unions to listen to their problems then he will work with the leaders in the relevant unions in order to plan on resolving the

challenging matters. The inauguration follows the ministerial re-shuffle on the 04th February wherein the then Minister of Communications, Science and Technology Hon.

Thesele ‘Maseribane exchanged with Hon. Keketso Sello who was the Minister of Small Businesses Development, Cooperatives and Marketing. The Minister of Health Hon.

Motlatsi Maqelepo is now the Minister of Forestry and Land Reclamation and his position is occupied by Hon. Semano Sekatle who was the Minister of Public Service.
